USA trip

I have GOT to stop be lazy! I haven't even posted about my expedition yet! I've spent the last few days since I've been back getting acclamated (sleep schedule, picking up house and cleaning, putting away my "treasures" from USA (read things I can't get here in France, like salad dressing, reeses, little debbie snack cakes, cake mixes, cornbread mixes, garlic salt - the list is long!!!), trying to catch up on ravelry (read MA group is very chatty!!! - that's one of the things I love about them!), and spending a lot of time with DH just appreciating the alone time we have together.
Speaking of, you will be glad to know how well things are going. All of the prayers have been heard and are being answered. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support, and Thank God for hearing and answering!
Anyhow, my trip:
The kids were GREAT on the plane, though you wouldn't know that from Alex' picture - she was pouting because I had taken a lot of pics of Remi (they were all being erased because they were turning out badly) and none of her...

The first night the kids and I stayed in a hotel in Chatanooga because I couldn't drive anymore without falling asleep at the wheel - kind of sucked because it put us a day behind with fam but the kids had a ball the next morning with waffles they got to make themselves at the breakfast bar and besides, since the first night you get up at around 4 am, at least that way we weren't bothering anyone!
We stayed one night with dad, then and afterwards went to moms' for 5 nights.
There the kids played in the pool,
we went to Michael's and crocheted and just hung out. I got to see Heather's kids and we even got to go to Nolan's softball game (see last pic). They won and Pawpaw had him believeing that the military planes that were doing practice runs overhead just exactly as their game ended were for him and his team for doing such a good job! Mom made dinner for us on Saturday (anyone who knows my mom knows good and well that that was obviously not the only thing on the table! She always makes enough food to feed the entire US army!!!! )
Allison and her group and Heather and hers came up and I saw BJ and his fam for the first time in ages. Then back to Dads where I got to spend time with Di, Alli and their families.I took the kids to Kripsy Kream, one of the places on my to go to list, and let them watch the donuts being made. They were in hog heaven!!!!I got to see Kendra and Rachel - we had a great evening at El Chico's (also on my to go to list) and just talked and caught up...
All in all, I didn't do much shopping, gained 2 kg, spent a lot of the time being frustrated and wrestless because of Christophe, because of me, because of the kids, because things weren't going as I had planned and not getting to all my togoto places or doing all my to do things...
But my main goal was to see the fam, which I did eventually get to do though it seems that I didn't somehow manage to spend too much time with my sisters. And I was very glad to be there when my sis moved into her wonderful, beautiful new home! I'm always missing things (good or bad) going on in my family and was so happy that I could finally be there to cheer on and help my sis when needed, though I felt like I was more in the way than helping...
Oh and by the way, did I mention it was HOT!!!?

Great to read your good news! I wish you could have spent a bit more time with your family. But considering everything must have been terribly rushed it seems you had a good time anyway.

I just started crying reading your blog! God, I am such a sap! I have been sick and working overtime this week, so I haven't had to time to work on my blog. I am SO glad we got to visit while you were home. It was a great girl's night! Marguritas, daquiris(?) and good conversation (although not always rated PG - lol).
