My WIP's

This is a sweater I'm working on for Dianne. She supplied all the yarn (100% bamboo- how cool is that?), the pattern, the motivation, the courage. It is my first effort at anything non square. I was so proud and amazed at myself!!!! But then the honeymoon period ended and I relegated it to the back of my closet...I'm mad at it becauseit's too big and too bulky. But I will finish it! I will! I'm going to try to fix it by crossing it over a little more (though I'm afraid that will make it bulkier). Don't worry Dianne, you'll get it by next summer. I hope!

This is my country silk sweater. I don't like how the color pools but I'm pretty proud of how it's shaping up so far. Only two-thirds left to go...

This is my cheesy easter egg hat. It was made with an absolutely incredibly soft beautifully colored (burnt orange) yarn Dianne bought me two years ago to try to teach me to knit. I frogged that bugger so many times it could stand up on its own. I finally decided to put it out of its misery and crochet with it. So I started a hat pattern and made up as I went because it was for dk weight yarn and this is chunky yarn. As it turned out, I improvised the rest of it and turned it into a kind of cloche hat which with my curly hair almost looked funky-cute but now that I'm near bald looks more funky cheesy! Too bad! I might try to put a ribbon around it to tighten it up or something...Did I mention how soft it is?

And last and least, my trial at knitting. The only one that I haven't ripped out and that's only because you apparently cannot rip angora out.

I am working on one more project right now but it's top secret so can't share it with you! You'll just have to keep coming back to check up on progress...
